Heather is a physical therapist licensed by the State of New Jersey with a passion for pediatrics. She graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2002. Fieldwork was completed at Hackensack University Medical Center, Bergen County Special Services School District and Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, New Jersey. Upon graduation, Heather worked for Bergen County Special Services School District, supporting students with multiple disabilities whose needs could not be met in their home school district.
Her dedication to the students was recognized and she was honored as a recipient of the 2006 New Jersey Governor’s Teacher Award. Heather was able to return to her alma mater for a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree, which was conferred in 2009. Upon graduation, Heather joined the Next Step Pediatric Therapy team. She has also worked as an independent contractor, providing pediatric home care and school based physical therapy services for local school districts. Heather now enjoys working part time in the physical therapy profession, while thoroughly enjoying her full time job as a mom of three.
